Defining time for Theo?

Whilst I don't believe the old adage 'every cloud has a silver lining', it does seem that for Theo at least, Eduardo being out of action for so long could be the making of him. At the very least it will be surprising if Arsene doesn't play him alongside Ade, but it will also tell us something about his expectations of Theo. If he plays, there is a good chance we will see more of the Theo we saw last week on a regular basis. He is so much a confidence player, not so unusual for someone his age, that if he can't or isn't allowed to kick on now, it'll take a lot to get his confidence back.

Having said all that, his second Prem goal says a lot about his skill and why he is not a winger so much as a pacey central attacker. If he gets the ball in the right place on the pitch he will scare the crap out of defenders by running at them. I really hope he gets the games and scores the goals. He's been through an unusual amount of rubbish for someone so young so let's hope it's the making of him, he's earned it.

Now I have been a big, big fan of Ade ever since he arrived, but is it me or is he in danger of reverting? Yes he's had a great season, and yes he has what it takes to be a great player, and personally I like a bit of arrogance in a lead striker, and maybe he's believing his own press just a tad. But to me it looks like he has had an eye on the record books recently and has been over-trying, if you get what I mean. He just needs to forget about everything other than the game in hand and play his natural game. It's just that he looks a tad inhibited at the moment. Nothing a bunch of goals wouldn't fix.

What is it with the Mail and Mail on Sunday? Long after everyone else has moved on they are still taking pot-shots at Le Prof. It's not even clear what they are trying to achieve, they just look like sour axe-grinders. I don't know what it is, but it sure ain't journalism. And speaking of such, is TribalFoootball the worst footy site on the Internet? They surely take spin to new depths in their click search. Just stating someone is off to such and such a team isn't an article if it's a lie. Capiche?

So on to Saturday. Tricky game, and O'Gaffer says he rates Ade. Better wear good shin-pads then mate. Actually I like the Irish fella, he's 'way more honest than many and his team have a very good chance of Europe next season. If we turn up and play, we'll win. If we sit back and assume we'll win, we may see the second ever loss at the Emirates. Sure the team want to win it for Eduardo, we all do, but they have to want to win it for themselves as well.
