Maybe the question is more "Will Theo get a chance?" I'm getting increasingly peeved with the Swede for selecting Theo and then not playing him. Surely if Sven believed Theo is in any way ready to be in the squad then he should've played when Michael Owen was injured. I'm not saying that I think he is ready, it's just I am concerned at what this may do to his confidence. Just being there when there have been obvious opportunities to play isn't going to be of any benefit to him at all, because it says the manager doesn't have confidence in you. Hardly going to help is it? Likelihood is the Roonster is going to last the whole Ecuador game, so maybe there's a chance yet.

Not sure what is happening with the England defence. It was a bit of a comedy show against Sweden and seemed to show that Sol and Terry don't have much understanding at the moment. Perhaps not so surprising given the number of times they have played together, but even so it had echoes of the Arsenal defence at the beginning of last season.

I was also a tad non-plussed to see Ash legging it over to the right side of the pitch a couple of times to make a tackle. Hardly speaks of great defensive organisation, but I guess it's one way of Ash getting the ball, as just about every time he bombed down the left wing on an overlap, Joe Cole cut inside. It is his natural inclination being right-footed, and after the goal he scored, whose to complain? However I noticed Ash cutting inside later in the game to be available and they are going to in each others way at this rate. Let's try and mix it up a bit huh, guys? S'matter of fact Joe Cole seems to have a pretty decent left foot as well, maybe he should use it a little more.
