I have to be candid. I thought we might lose at Totteringham. By half time it was looking more of a will lose than a might lose. So has Arsene finally managed to get a half-time talk together that actually works? Or has he been learning all about making good substitutions with enough time to make them tell? Either way, a point was not a bad result, though three looked on the cards the way we played in the second half. By putting Bobby and then RVP on, Le Prof suddenly had a different team, playing instead of punting in blind panic. I truly hope that Van Persie has turned the corner and will now get more starts and teach the rest of the team how to have a go at goal from further than six yards out. When it came, I thought Bobby took his goal beautifully, great technique to hit it like that from such an angle. Whilst thanks must go to Robinson, it was a goal which was always coming sooner or later.

Speaking of goalies, do we still have a goalkeeping problem? Mad Jens has put in some pretty good performances recently and has refrained from throwing water or his weight around. OK, I admit we could use some backup, but maybe we can spend that £63m (allegedly) on a decent striker, midfielder and central defender, then worry about a goalie.

Apparently we did nothing wrong in signing Flamini, now the appeal court have said so as well as FIFA, so that's alright then. Since we're on the subject of transfers, what was galling was seeing a number of earlier transfer targets playing so well against us in the first half on Saturday. Know what, I reckon I'd take a punt on Forlan. OK it's a risk but in the right team I think he'd do well. And Thierry rates him.

Normally I try and ignore other managers, but every now and again one of them says something real stupid. Step forward Jose. We have all come to expect a bit of too-ing and fro-ing between the top managers, it's mostly pretty boring to be honest. But likening Arsene to a voyeur with a telescope who looks at other people's houses is just a tad too distasteful for my liking. I guess I know what he meant, but there are many better ways to say it. I suppose you feel you can get away with it when your team appears to be running away with the Prem.
